Moving directly south out of downtown along I95/Jeff Davis Highway corridor, you encounter a large number of the industrial production facilities in the City. Philip Morris and DuPont have plants there as do numerous other manufacturers that support the larger factories south of the city.
As with any area in any Metro, residential values tend to be lower in the industrial areas and SE Richmond is no different. For investors, zone 50 is a preferred area as prices for single family and Class B and C apartments trade lower than areas to the north and west.
