South of 360 West (Hull Street Road) from the City line to the borders with Dinwiddie and Amelia Counties is what is considered to be the Southern and Eastern Chesterfield area. As with the bordering Zone 62, these zones change dramatically as you move from areas closer to the city line (Chippenham Parkway which behaves more like an inner beltway) towards the 288 Corridor (more of an outer beltway), mostly due to the age of the development.
The 288 Corridor shifted development further south and west as points north of the river and west of the city (think ‘Innsbrook’ and ‘Short Pump Town Center’) became much more accessible via 288 than fighting back through town and then west along 64. From 2000 to today, many new subdivisions were added along the corridor and consequently, the greatest supply of unsold lots in the Metro can be found here.

Several large scale AND large lot developments exist in these areas. Woodland Pond, Chesdin Landing and The Highlands feature estate sized lots (The Highlands and Chesdin Landing both surround water and a semi-private golf as well) and a luxury housing stock.
